And yes, that is REAL stitching on these layouts. Who knew I had it in me? Surely not I.
It was a largely uneventful week and weekend. Got hit with a little snowstorm yesterday, which was completely WASTED on a weekend. I need that weather during the week, dangit!
I started a mini album yesterday during the storm, and will post it soon. It's seriously cool, and I needed a change from layout-land. Sometimes you just get stale, and I am. (OK, that sounds bad. You know what I mean, right?)
Met with my photo group today and shared my current project/series. I'm working on a technique called TTV, or "Through the Viewfinder." I was inspired by the incredible Shannon Taylor after stumbling upon her Flickr Set. She was kind enough to explain it through a series of emails, and I'm hooked. It's the perfect pastime for me in the cold months since I don't feel like going out shooting. Here are a few examples, and I'm achieving the look with Photoshop. Well it turns out the host of our photo group has a huge collection of old cameras, and I'm going to try to achieve the effect in real life! Wish me luck, I'll need it.
Have a great week!!! And think warm-weather thoughts. For reals.
