I don't know where the time has gone. This is the time of year I don't look at my calendar for fear of having something to do. Even though spring brings warmer temps, it's also the time of the year when teaching takes its toll. When enough is enough. DO NOT GET ME WRONG. I love what I do. But with summer just around the corner, it's tempting to quit a tad bit early. I'm hanging in there. Barely.
A lot has happened since my last blog post. Here are just a few of the details.
- We celebrated Easter the week after Easter @ my sister's house with my nephew in town. We had a great dinner on Saturday night, then did an egg hunt on Sunday. There is nothig like family, no?
- I took the Photography Club on a field trip to an old abandoned house, then to an old farm. It was windy, but we had fun together. I love my club kids!
- Jenna "Bridged" from Brownies to Junior Girl Scouts. She was really excited!
- Em and Kevin came home for Mother's Day. They got me a Tassimo, and can I just say how much I adore this machine? I'm permanently wired from the caffeine consumption, but it's all good. I think my favorite drink is the Chai Latte.
- Saturdays are spent on the soccer field. Jenna is amazing at defense, standing tough and getting right in the mix. We haven't won a game yet, but that doesn't stop me from being incredibly proud.
- We went to dad's nursing home and celebrated Mother's Day for my mom. We had a few laughs with a dummy that was left in the conference room where we meet. Even daddy was laughing!
- Since the weather is warmer you can find J outside playing with the neighbors.
- Jenna had a walkathon at school on Friday, and Bill and I went to have lunch with her. We had a good afternoon!
OK, that's about it for the last few weeks. We're hitting the home stretch at school, and I can't wait for sweet freedom!!!
Have a great Tuesday!
