is redecorating my home. It is in dire need of sprucing up, and I'm in the mood. It's a big job, and I'm sure it will be a work in progess for quite some years time. But I'm up for it!
It all started on Pinterest and this picture.
It's been on my mind for a long time. And in the end, somewhere in my house will be a similar display. I need it.
I'm not going all new, I'm repurposing. Recycling. Using found objects. And it makes me happy.
And running across this quote over the weekend even reinforced my thoughts.

OK, I have to admit I may have to apologize to February. You see, my hatred has run deep for a lot of years. But this February has been surprisingly beautiful, and has included my favorite thing in the whole world, A SNOW DAY! I needed this day to catch up, as my weekend is pretty full. Life is good, friends.
Speaking of life, here is my PL from two weeks ago. I finished last week and will post next week. Today? It's all about creating. And laundry.
I busted out my Silhouette for this week. And more for the following week. I am feeling better about the purchase. I HATE buying things and not using them. HATE IT.

I finally got around to scanning them. Man, that's the toughest part. Making them is quick, but the process of getting them to the computer is sometimes more than I have in me. KWIM?
These two are from the February kit from Studio Calico. Some Sass goodness in this kit. Man, I miss Sass.
I used a digital template as a guide for this layout. It was an experiment of sorts.

and another week documented. I sat down to print pics from last week and will work on this week's spread a bit each night. It's a manageable task for the weeknights when I'm not as creative.

It's funny, but with digital I feel that the messier the better! I have been shopping the amazing sales at Design House Digital for February and scored a kit and clipping masks for $2.00. Score!

It happens this time every year. It's a combination of the craziness of prepping for CHA in early January, then a major break from anything scrap-related, then a mad dash to buy any and all new goodies released at CHA. And as you are purchasing said goodies you are thinking to yourself, "I still haven't used supplies I purchased a year ago!" True story. Then I feel overwhelmed. So I'm going back into the "create something every day" mode. For me having supplies I don't use, AKA "scrap hoarding" is a major mojo killer. So I've got to use it up, one project at a time. Wish me luck.

I'm fighting with my scanner, and frankly it's winning. It's starting to make me mad. So today I am FIGURING IT OUT. Sorry for shouting. Tried to post this the other day and the colors were off and the resolution was horrible. Making my own action and need to test the results.

Scanned at 200 DPI
Better.
Changed to sRGB first
Can you see any difference?
